OBITUARY Jose Fidel Garcia April 24, 1919 – August 19, 2018 Jose Fidel Garcia born April 24, 1919, went to be with our Lord on August 19, 2018, at the age of 99. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Concepcion Garcia; parents, Pedro & Guadalupe Garcia; children, Sylvia Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia and siblings, Marcelo Garcia and Rosa Vasquez. He is survived by his children, Stella Silva, Juanita Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Hector Garcia, Maria “Ruth” Garcia 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Jose dedicated 4 ½ years of service to the US Army during WWII and then retired from the US Postal Service after a 28 year career. Jose enjoyed listening to music and gardening both beautiful king roses and fruit trees. A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 1214 Stonewall, San Antonio, Texas 78211 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, Texas 78214.

FAMILY Jose Fidel Garcia is survived by his children, Stella Silva, Juanita Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Hector Garcia, Maria “Ruth” Garcia 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
