Mr. Joseph Daniel Barrett, Sr., 60, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at his home. Mr. Barrett was born April 13, 1958, in Hawaii, son of the late Whitley Barrett, Jr. and Sylvia Yates Barrett. A graduate of Hogansville High School, he earned a Bachelors degree in human services and a Masters degree in addictionology, and retired as a shipping and receiving manager.

He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, politics, and jokes, and always had a story to tell.
