Obituary for Joseph Larry Akles Joseph Larry Akles age 77, of Shoals, Indiana passed away at his home on Sunday, December 23, 2018. He was born in Indian Springs on January 24, 1941 to the late James and Farrell Akles. He married Mable Wilcoxen on August 6, 1960 and she survives.

Larry was well known in Martin County for his woodworking talent of building replicas of primitive furniture and many of his pieces are in local homes as well as homes in other states. Other survivors include two sons, Larry Joseph Akles and Kevin James Akles both of Shoals; one daughter, Natalie Ann (Tim) Sargent of Winchester, Virginia; a grandson, Tanner Akles of Loogootee; one sister, Sandra Jones of Shoals; and one brother, Mike (Sharon) Akles of Shoals. He is preceded in death by a brother, Mark Akles and brother-in-law, Robert Jones.

No services are planned. Burial will be at the Mt. Union Cemetery at a later date.
