On Wednesday, November 28, 2018 of Bowie, MD. Beloved husband of the late Virginia L. “Ginnie” Hysan. Cherished father of Geraldine “Jerry” Byrd (Peter) Ritzel, and the late Sandra Christine Donaty and Robert Joseph Hysan.

Father-in-law of Frank Donaty, Carol Hysan, and the late R. James Byrd. Wonderful Pop of Jimmy (Madelyn) Byrd, TJ (Julia) Byrd, Krista (Troy) Cole, and Andy (Erin) Donaty. Great-Pop Pop of Joey (Julia) Byrd, Dominique Echard, Mia Byrd, Reagan Cole, Jack Byrd, Aislin, Maryn Cole, and Brooks and Callen Donaty.

Great-great grandfather of Peyton and Joleen Byrd. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents, John and Mary Hysan, and also five brothers, and one sister.

Friends may call at Gasch’s Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Friday, December 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, where a service will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 11:30 AM. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Sandy Donaty Yellow Rose Charity, 6507 Facchina Lane, Glenn Dale, MD 20769.
