Obituary for Joseph Rottinghaus Joseph William Rottinghaus, a long time resident of Washington State and a recent resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, died unexpectedly on July 8, 2018 at the age of 59 at Mercy West Hospital. Joe was born in Santa Ana, California on February 13, 1959 to Oscar and Lenore Rottinghaus. He graduated from Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati in 1977.

On August 15, 1992, he married Kathy Jo Davis in Auburn, Washington. In 2015, Joe and Kathy moved back to Cincinnati to be closer to family and friends. Joe enjoyed motorcycle riding and researching and experimenting various beers and attending festivals.

He loved the outdoors and while living in Washington loved to gold pan. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Joe is survived by his wife, Kathy Jo (Davis); his sisters, Lenore Marie (Bunny) Bottorff (Virgil), Mary Julie Stolz (Jim) and Margaret Douglas (Ron) and his brother George Hernandez and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is predeceased by his son, Blake; and his parents Oscar and Lenore Rottinghaus. A celebration of life is planned for August 18th in Cincinnati. Donations may be offered to the American SIDS Institute at www.
