OBITUARY Josephine Myrle Loss February 7, 1924 – June 2, 2018 Myrle was born in New York City on Feburary 7, 1924 and passed away on June 2, 2018. She moved to San Diego in July of 1940. They lived next door to the Loss Family and she married theri son, E. Christian (Chris) Loss upon graduation from Hoover High School in 1942.

They were married for 69 years. . She was a loving mother to her three daughters, Christine Myrle Loss (Jerry Deats), Diana Jo Dwyer (Herbert) and Jennifer Marie Landers (Dale).

Myrle was so proud of her four grandchildren Mark Bailey (Sara), Todd Bailey (Nicole), Elizabeth Kennedy (Murray) and Jensen Myrle Landers, and her four great-grandchildren. the picture is from her 80th birthday party. Myrle was a gifted soprano and a solist.

She sang like an angel. From the age of 19 years old, she was active in the United Methodist Women and its predecessor, the Women’s Society of Christian Service, serving on the Local, District, and Jurisdiction levels. She was on the Wesley Terrace Board of Directors for 20 years (a Senior Citizen’s high-rise apartment building).

She was the founder of the Wesley Senior Citizen’s Club and a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she served as a charperson on many of the Boards and Committees. The family transferred to San Carlos United Methodist Church in 1977. She was a member of Chapter HL in P.E.O. Sisterhood.

She will be greatly missed. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the Salvation Army. Interment – Private Service in Joshue Corridor, Crypt 25 at Greenwood Memorial Park.
