OBITUARY Jovita Gonzales February 5, 1932 – January 8, 2019 Jovita Duarte Gonzales, 86, of San Angelo, Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 8, 2019. She was born on February 5, 1932. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend to all.

She worked and retired from Levi’s. Jovita had a green thumb for gardening. Her yard was always immaculate.

She loved traveling and cooking for her family. She was the glue that held the family together to the very end. Jovita is survived by her son, Efrain and wife Romelia Duarte and their children, Dr. Xochitl Anderton, Benino and Erika Gonzales, and Efrain Duarte, Jr.; son, Manuel and Janie Gonzales and their children Jessica and Crystal Gonzales; daughter, Maria Estella and Valdimiro E. Navarrete and their children, Edward and Jullian Navarrete and Leslie and Arthur Galindo; son, Eugenio and Mary Elise Gonzales, and their children, Eugenio Steven Gonzales III and wife Jennifer, Andrew James Gonzales and wife Tessa, Nicholas Ryan Gonzales, Daniel Frederick Gonzales, Marcus Henry Gonzales and Robert Benjamin Gonzales; son, Robert and Alisa Gonzales and his son Robert Gonzales, Jr.; daughter, Nora and Tony Yezak and son Joey Yezak; son, Henry and Yvonne Gonzales and their children, Jodi Francine and Matthew Schwarz and Lauren Michele Gonzales; daughter, Susie Salas and family from Lockney, Texas; one brother, Canuto and wife Lydia Duarte and their children, Maria Eugenia, Julissa, Rudy and Olga from Cd.

Acuna; one sister, Ophelia Duarte from San Luis Potosi, Mexico and her son Edgar Duarte Ruiz; great grandchildren, Addie and Laura Anderton, Maelie and Lillian Galindo, Liam Schwarz and Mia Gonzales. Jovita is also survived by special friends, Sandi Delap (Anna’s Mother), Amanda Sosa, Don Lupe and Marta, Rosa, Berta, Berta Patino, Don Luis, Margie and her neighbor Argelia. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Eugenio Gonzales, her parents, Alvaro and Nieves Arrellano Duarte; granddaughter, Anna Teresa Gonzales, and her half brother, Guadalupe Duarte.

To our dear loving mother, may you rest in peace. This is not a goodbye, but until we see you again. A rosary will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 7 PM in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 2 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
