Obituary for Joy Matherne Valure Joy Matherne Valure, 67, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on December 6, 2018. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park (4511 West Park Avenue, Gray, LA, 70359) from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A religious service will take place at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at a later date. She is survived by her children, Troy Voisin (Nicole), Angel Picou (Ricky), Robyn Trichell (Jimmy), David Valure Jr. (Kayleen); sisters, Carolina Hebert (Avery) and Joan Brunet (Nolan); 10 grandchildren, Megan, Amber, Jacob, Saige, David III, Hunter, Ty, Tristan, Andrew, Taylor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Irene Boudreaux Matherne; son, Michael Luke Jr.; grandson, Ricky Picou Jr.; brothers, Charles and Ira Matherne; sister, Geraldine Pontiff.
