OBITUARY Joy Shaddox Ross August 14, 1928 – December 8, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Joy Shaddox Ross, 90, passed away December 8, 2018 in Carrollton, Texas. She was born August 14, 1928 in Bakersfield, California to Barney B. and Madge Pearl Burchfield. Joy graduated from Crozier Tech High School and built her career as a customer service representative.

She was a faithful and active member of Seven Points First Baptist Church where she was involved with VBS, church trips and could always be found reading her bible. Joy enjoyed being at the lake, whether it be camping, walking around the lake or sitting around with her family but most of all she enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Lansdell; granddaughter, Stephanie Watkins and great-granddaughters, Morgan and Kaley Lansdell.

Joy is survived by her children, Gilda Bartlett, Kay Poage, Glen Smith, Ronnie Smith and wife, Jamie and Nicy Fulgham and husband, Ron; twenty-four grandchildren, sixty-four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. The family will accept visitors from 1-2pm on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 and service to follow starting at 2pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
