Joyce’s Obituary Joyce E. Galante, nee Vitrano, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of the Milwaukee area, died on November 30, 2018. She was born on June 2, 1928 in Milwaukee. She attended school in Milwaukee, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1946.

Throughout her life, Joyce was an active parent in her childrens’ lives. She was a frequent spectator at sporting events and volunteered as a chaperone with the former St. Matthias Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from Milwaukee. During the years her sons were in school and later working, she visited Marc in Barcelona and Seville, Spain and Lou in Florence, Italy.

She worked for American Express travel office as a travel agent in Kansas City, MO and later transferred to Phoenix, AZ. After her retirement in the late 1990’s, her favorite pastime was golfing with friends. Survivors include 4 children Marc (Elayne Gallegos) Galante of Santa Fe, NM, Louis Galante of Milwaukee, Pamela (William) Leichtnam of Menomonee Falls and Robert Galante of Chandler, AZ; 3 grandchildren: Anthony, Lauren and Daniel Galante; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Roseann Medich and 1 sister Audrey Patrick. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, April 6 from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with a Memorial Service to follow.
