Kathryn “Kathy” Mary Pierce (nee Mayer) December 19, 1944 – January 30, 2019 Send Flowers Kathryn “Kathy” Mary Pierce, nee Mayer, age 74 was peacefully called home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her home in Montgomery, AL. Kathy was born to the late Gilbert and Bernice (nee Miller) Mayer on December 19, 1944 in Newburg, Wisconsin. She and her loving husband of 45 years, Richard Pierce are members of Holy Spirit Parish and have lived in Montgomery, AL for the past 21 years.

Kathy, after graduating from West Bend High School, was employed at the Frankow and Grundahl Clinic in West Bend for 12 years and also by the Internal Revenue Service for 11 years. Kathy had lived in Newburg, WI until her marriage to Rich on December 22, 1973 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg. She then moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia.

They lived for a short time in Indianapolis and Waukesha before moving back to Newburg. They lived in Newburg for 5 years where they were members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church before moving to their present home in Montgomery, AL. Kathy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard of Montgomery, AL, 3 sisters: Sharon (Conrad) Fischer of West Bend, Judy Austin of West Bend and Mary (Bill) Chesak of Newburg, 3 brothers: Jerry Mayer (Mary Ellen Dodge) of West Bend, Dan (Carol) Mayer of Newburg and Tom (Connie) Mayer of Newburg and her mother-in-law Mildred R. Pierce of Cleveland, OH.

She is further survived by 2 brothers-in-law: Robert (Martha) Pierce of Asheville, NC and Michael J. (Jo Ann) Pierce of Philadelphia, PA, a sister-in-law Lisa Litteral of Cleveland, OH and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Bernice Mayer, her brother Gilbert Jr. “Gib” Mayer, her sister-in-law Annie Mayer, her nephew Mark Mayer and her father-in-law LTC Leon Pierce, US Army. We will celebrate Kathy’s life with a private family Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg.

Inurnment will take place in spring in Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend is serving the family. Online guestbook and condolences are available at www.
