Homer F. “Homie” Justman, 74, of the town of Trenton, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk. Homer was born on September 21, 1944, in the town of Kewaskum, the son of the late Herbert and Lucille (nee Kedinger) Justman. On June 5, 1965, he was united in marriage to Barbara Ehnert at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.

Homer was a fun loving person, always having a joke to tell that could turn into stories. He played tavern league softball for years. Homer had a rock and roll band call the Blue Echo’s from the 60’s until they changed their music genre to old rock and roll and early country.

The band was then called Revival. People were amazed that Homer could remember names and their favorite song that they would always request. He retired in January of 2019 from Piggly Wiggly in Slinger.

Homer loved to vacation wherever there were beaches. He enjoyed watching the Packers and playing sheepshead and cribbage. Homer was actively involved at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane as an elder, nominating committee, usher, and vocal and hand bell choir.

Those Homer leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara; three brothers, Harold “Justy” (Arlene) Justman, Herbert (Darlene) Justman, and Hiram (Alleen) Justman; two sisters, Laura Justman and Lilly Westerman; six sisters-in-law, Judy Justman, Loretta Justman, Rita Justman, Cheryl Beall, Pam (Dennis) Jacak, and Joan Ehnert; he will be missed by his cats, Ezra and Kiki, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by eight brothers, Harry, Harvey, Hillary, Hilbert, Henry, Herbert Jr., Herman, and Howard Justman; three brothers-in-law, Harold Westerman, Harry Beall, and Richard Ehnert. Homer’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 215 Forest Avenue, in Kewaskum on Thursday, May 30, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 31, 2019, at St. John Lutheran Church, N683 County Road S, Kewaskum (New Fane) from Noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
