Larry Lee Krajcik, 79, of the Town of Kewaskum, was called home to his Savior’s side on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in the town of West Bend. Larry was born on July 4th, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Harry and Irene (nee Ott) Krajcik. He was made a child of God through baptism on October 8, 1939 at St. Matthew Ev.
Lutheran Church, Milwaukee and confirmed on March 29, 1953 at Lincoln Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He honorably served his country in the US Army, stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. On June 16, 1962 Larry was united in marriage to Carol Ellingson at Mt.
Lebanon Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, and they were blessed with 56 years of marriage. Larry’s love for cars led him to purchase his own gas / service stations in Milwaukee where he worked as a mechanic for 22 years. In 1986 he purchased Horizon Flag and Banner in Milwaukee where he enjoyed working beside his wife for 33 years.
He had several hobbies, including wood working, fishing – especially for muskies – and classic cars. Larry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Allenton. He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Cary (Sue) Krajcik of Oconomowoc, Becky (Ricky) Baumeister of Slinger, and Christine (Steve) Bode of Allenton; 9 grandchildren, Samantha (Tom) Staude, Kimberly (Jon) Hoesly, Thomas Krajcik, Luke Krajcik, Matthew Krajcik, Molly Krajcik, Paul Baumeister, Britney Baumeister, and Anna Bode; 4 great-grandchildren, Brady Staude, Elena Staude, Cody Staude and Caleb Hoesly; a brother, Terry (the late Kathi) Krajcik; sisters, Judy (Phil) Naumann, Bonnie Krajcik, and Liz (Dave) Kiener; a brother-in-law, David (Marty) Ellingson; and many other relatives and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his son, Lee Krajcik; parents, Harry and Irene Krajcik; parents-in-law, Arthur and Lydia Ellingson; sister, Eleanor “Tootie” Krajcik; and a sister-in-law, Kathi Krajcik. A funeral service for Larry will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 6:00pm at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church (6430 County Road D. Allenton, WI 53002).
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 4:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials to Zion Ev.
Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the V.A. in Milwaukee as well as the nurses and hospice staff at Cedar Lake Community in West Bend for the care Larry received.
