Joyce Guzzi 78 of Allenport died Wednesday July 11, 2018 at home with her family by her side. Born August 21, 1939 in Monongahela, a daughter of John and Sylvia McDough Furnier. Joyce was a retired LPN having worked at Country Meadows.

She was a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church and really enjoyed playing cards on the internet. On May 31, 1958 she married George “Red” Guzzi. They had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Besides her husband, she is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law; John and Tracy Guzzi of Allenport, 2 grandchildren, Sean Guzzi of McKeesport and Alayna Guzzi of AZ. She was preceded in death by a grandson Dylan Guzzi. Visitation will be held on Friday July 13, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc. 1008 Furlong Ave.

, Roscoe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 14 at 10:30am in the funeral home with Rev. Brian Carroll officiating.

Interment will follow at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
