Thomas G. Sveda, 82, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Tom was born in Fairhope, PA. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence Mitro Sveda, son Thomas Sveda, Jr., of CocoaBeach, FL.

, son John Sveda (Wife Allyson) of Gibsonia, sister Joanne Wiggins (husband Edward) of Belle Vernon, grandsons Robert and Andrew Sveda of Gibsonia, sister-in-law Thelma Lester Sveda of Jefferson Township, brother-in-law Myron Mitro of Donora, nephew Michael J. Sveda (wife Heather) of Perryopolis and two great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Mary Sveda andbrother Michael J. Sveda. Tom was a 1954 graduate of Charleroi Area High School.

He worked as a machinist and supervisor at Ingersoll Rand in Charleroi and General Electric in West Mifflin. Throughout his life he enjoyed Notre Dame football, a machine tool passion, meals with his family and friends, traveling adventures, and fixing everything… Friends are invited to visit the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave. , Charleroi from 2 to 7p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Mikonis at Mary, Mother of the Church, where he was a member,7th & Washington Ave. , Charleroi on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Donora.
