Joyce Lorraine Havrilka, 85, of Pana, Illinois passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Heritage Health Nursing Home in Pana, Illinois. Joyce was born November 20, 1933 in Shelby County, Illinois the daughter of Charles J. and Doris (Carrol) Vits. She married Donald “Kosh” Havrilka on May 13, 1961 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Pana, Illinois.

Joyce attended grade school at a country school, and she graduated from Pana High School with the Class of 1950 at the age of sixteen. Joyce was a graduate of Arthur Murray’s Dancing School in Decatur, Illinois where she was offered a job as a dancing instructor but declined the offer. Joyce loved traveling and attending auctions.

Joyce worked at Gibson Furniture Store until it closed, and she later worked at Mallory Timers Company. Joyce is survived by her Husband Don, her Brothers James Vits of Cheboygan, Michigan and Joseph Vits (Diana) of Kankakee, Illinois and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
