Joyce Marie Bryant Cook, 66, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was born March 12, 1952 to the late Carmon Bryant and Frances Dame Davis. Joyce was a Homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Arthur L. Cook, Jr., her brother, Calvin D. Bryant, and her niece, Rhonda Bryant Kidwell. Joyce is survived by her husband of 50 years, Arthur L. Cook, her children: Melva J. Cook of Utica, Kentucky, Steven A. Cook of Owensboro, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kayla (Jared) Clary of Utica, Rusty (Ashlyn) Cook of Hartford, Kentucky, and Tyler Walker of Utica; four great-grandchildren, Carmen Paris, Ambryne Cook, Koty Cook, Ryder Cook; her siblings, Ray (Teresa) Lynn of Alexandria, Virginia, Judy Powers, of Owensboro, Danny Bryant of Madison, Virginia, David Bryant, and Kenny Bryant both of Owensboro.

Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Calhoun, Kentucky. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, and again from 8:00 am to 10:00 am Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Joyce Marie Cook Memorial fund; c/o Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory; 519 Locust Street; Owensboro, Kentucky 42301.
