Joyce S. Runyan, age 91, of Kennesaw, GA. passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. She was born on July 30, 1927 in Birmingham, AL.

to the late Elton and Gladys Scott. Mrs. Runyan worked for Bell South for over 40 years and was a faithful member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Huntsville, AL. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Carlos Leon Runyan and her brothers; Thomas Elton Scott and Harold Winfield Scott.

Survivors include her niece, Gay and Bob Lawson of Douglasville, GA. , great niece, Ashlie and Andrew Brooks of Kennesaw, GA. , great-great niece, Lawson Brooks, and great-great nephew, Drew Brooks.

Several nieces and nephews are also survived by her. A Graveside service for Mrs. Runyan will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 12:00 PM CST from Ridout’s Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. with Minister Sandor Cheka officiating.
