Juan’s Obituary Juan K. Wilson of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette following a stroke. He was 85. Juan was a Crawfordsville police officer from 1960 to 1980.

He then worked at the State Highway Dept. from 1980-2005. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eagles and F.O.P.

He also served as a precinct committeeman, and was on the West Central Indiana waste board. He was a model train enthusiast. He loved to play cards, golf and had a great love for the Crawfordsville community.

Born Feb. 11, 1934 in Brazil, Indiana, he was the son of Kenneth Wilson and Maggie Englehart Wilson. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School, class of 1953 and attended IU.

He married Barbara Brown on June 15, 1957 in Dover, Ohio. She survives. Surviving family includes: wife, Barbara Wilson of Crawfordsville; daughter, Heidi Hon of Crawfordsville; son, Johnny Wilson (Shelly) of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, Steven Wilson, Kerston Conway and Lukas Benge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Avenue. Services will at 11 AM Saturday, led by Pastor Wallie Nichols.

Cremation will take place after the service. Donations in memory of Juan Wilson may be made to the Crawfordsville F.O.P., 311 North Green Street, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Online condolences may be made at www.
