BEEVILLE – Judge David B. Garza, 78, of Beeville, died on Oct. 3, 2018. He was born on Sept.

13, 1940 in Beeville, Tx to Maximo and Rosaria (Basaldu) Garza. He married Carmen Garcia on May 7, 1960 in Beeville, Tx. He had retired as Bee County Justice of the Peace Pct.

1 for 20 years, and prior, had worked as a licensed insurance agent for over 15 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alfredo “Coquena” Garza and six sisters, Jovita Vidal, Beatrice Gamez, Ortencia Fernandez, Rosa Rodriguez, Lupita Trevino and Minnie Hernandez. He is survived by his wife, Carmen G. Garza of Beeville; one daughter, Carrie DeRusse of Beeville; one granddaughter, Clarissa DeRusse of Beeville; two great granddaughters, Ariyana Lopez and Emeri Lopez and one sister, Rachel Ramon of Beeville, Tx.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited there at 7 o’clock that evening.

The body will lie is repose at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Our Lady of Victory Church followed by the funeral mass being celebrated at 10 a.m. with Fr. Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating.

Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Danny Ray Garcia, Raul Valdez, Jr., Danny Ramon, Jody Ramon, Johnny Perales and Gerald De Leon. Honorary pallbearers are Ariyana Lopez, Emeri Lopez, Reyes Garcia, Pilar De Leon, Raul Valdez, Chon Garcia, Mike Munoz, Nick Cardenas, Freddy Andrade, Ruben Montez, Abel Suniga and the late Isidro “Sid” Salinas.
