Memorial Visitation Thursday, May 23, 2019 5-7 PM at Hamp Funeral Home Prayer Service Thursday, May 23, 2019 7 PM at Hamp Funeral Home Judith (nee Turnbull) (McGirr) Castle, age 74, of Tonawanda, died Friday, May 17, 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. Born August 4, 1944 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Betty (nee Smith) and James Turnbull, Sr.. Judy loved to travel, listen to Elvis Presley music and visit the Fatima Shrine in Lewiston.

A resident of Tonawanda since 1976, she had been employed as a nurse at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda before retiring. She was the mother of James McGirr and Jason McGirr, Sr., both of Tonawanda; grandmother of Haley, Conner and Jason McGirr, Jr.; and sister of James (Gale) Turnbull, Jr. of Cheektowaga, and the late Marlene Archer. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where a prayer service will be held at 7 PM Thursday; the Rev. James Hassett officiating. Friends invited.
