Judy Kyska Of Arlington Heights Judy Kyska passed away peacefully on January 2, 2019, surrounded by her family and so much love. She was born on December 20, 1938, and spent her time in Arlington Heights, Illinois with the love of her life. Judy was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and had a huge passion for working with Veterans and children.

Every Christmas, she went shopping to purchase gift cards and would send them to homes for children in Chicago and nearby suburbs. She would also invite members of Hines V.A. Hospital to the American Legion Post for bingo and prepare gift bags for each of them upon their arrival — something she absolutely loved being a part of there. For many years, Judy hosted Toys for Tots’ events on behalf of the U.S. Marine Corps to raise money for less fortunate children.

If you knew Judy, you know how much she cared for others. This continued throughout her whole life in many different ways. She loved traveling to Nashville and Marco Island with her family and was a huge fan of Alan Jackson.

We’ll remember her with gold earrings on, hair beautifully done, painted nails, and, of course, matching head to toe. Judy had a heart of gold and was so special to everyone who knew her. Judy is survived by her children, Steve E. (Shelly) Kyska, Jr., Vicki (Dale) Boven, and Tracy (Brice) Bauske; her grandchildren, Nicole (Lacey), Tyler, and Logan Boven, and Aimee Kyska (Michael) Larock; and her great-granddaughter Destiny Larock.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Craig, and her loving husband of 64 years, Steve Kyska, Sr. A Memorial Gathering will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 11 am – 4 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. in Arlington Heights, Illinois with a Remembrance Service at 3:00 pm.
