Judith L. Young, 80, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice. She was born to Nelson and Eleanora (Brand) Schestag in Cleveland, OH on August 6, 1938. Judy married Robert “Bob” on December 27, 1957 and together they raised their son and daughter.

Judy graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She was a 20-year member of Crossroads Community Church, as well as a member of the Jolly Roger Sailing Club for over 20 years with her husband. Judy’s fondest memories with Bob were sailing and dancing at any event where music was playing.

They often cleared the dance floor. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed music, reading, solving Sunday crossword puzzles but mostly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and going to their events. She is survived by her children, Cathy (Duane) Leonard and William “Bill” (Karren) Young; grandchildren, Brady (Vanessa) Leonard, Reese Leonard and Alex Young; brother, David (Rosemary) Schestag and brother-in-law, James (Susan) Young.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018 from 2pm to 7pm at the Reeb Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:00am. Private interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the ministry of choice at Crossroads Community Church or the YMCA of Greater Toledo Christian Mission.
