Judith (Putnam) Green, 88, of Manchester and formerly of Colchester, widow of the late F. Duncan Green, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019. Born August 17, 1930 in Willimantic, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Putnam Judy was a loving woman who turned her house into a home for her family and friends.

She was very gifted with her hands, creating unique homemade crafts by means of needlework, crocheting and quilting. Mrs. Green was a longtime member of the Westchester Congregational Church. Following Duncan’s retirement, they lived in Nobleboro, ME for many years until declining health brought her back to Connecticut.

She leaves five children and their spouses; Rebecca (Kurt) Stefanovicz of Manchester (with whom she had most recently made her home, Elizabeth Culhane of Manchester; Paul and Pamela Green of East Hartford, John and Carrie Green of Liberty Hill, TX and Robert and Karla Green of Dayton, ME; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Lynn Kask of Storrs and Elizabeth Retterbush of Ohio and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to her loving husband of 50+ years, she was predeceased by a son, James Duncan Green; and a sister, Mary Putnam. A Memorial Service will be observed 10 AM Saturday, March 2nd directly at Faith Tabernacle Church, 110 Utopia Road, Manchester.

Graveside Services will be observed at 2 PM Saturday, March 2nd at the Westchester Center Cemetery, corner of Rte. 16 and Cemetery Road in Colchester.
