Roseann (SanGiacomo) Sauer, 91, of Columbia, widow of the late Martin T. Sauer, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. Born June 18, 1927 in Hartford, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Anne (Emonds) SanGiacomo.

Alongside her husband, she owned and operated Marty’s Service Center for many years before their retirement. She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Gloria and Dennis and Sherry; two grandchildren Benjamin Sauer and Meredith Hass; three great grandchildren, Graham, Madison and David; a niece, Judith Vitakunis and a nephew, Patrick McCarthy. In addition to her loving husband of 55 years, whom predeceased her Nov.

26, 2002, she was predeceased by two siblings, Irma McCarthy and Benjamin SanGiacomo. The family will receive guests starting at 10 AM Monday (Feb. 11th) at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester before a Chapel Service at 10:30 AM.
