Judy Finn, 69, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at University of Louisville Hospital. A retired school teacher, Judy taught in Hardin County for 20 years (teaching high school English at North Hardin High School), as well as the assistant softball coach for North Hardin High for 7 years. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church for 33 years.

Judy loved her family and friends. She spent her time traveling, being with her family, playing card games with her friends, making quilts, shopping for the best sales, collecting sea shells, correcting grammar, and she had a passion for drawing and painting. Most of all, she enjoyed her puppy, Sheldon, sitting in her lap to keep her warm.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Thomas Smith & Christine Tucker. Judy “Grammy” is survived by her husband of 48 years, Danny “G” Finn of Elizabethtown; her daughter, Melanie (Joe) Powell, of Rineyville; her son, Ryan (Joleen) Finn, of Elizabethtown; four grandsons, Matthew Finn of Louisville, Jacob Finn of Elizabethtown, DJ Cruz of Bowling Green, Christian Cruz Elizabethtown; three granddaughters, Lindsay Frymire of Vine Grove, Madison Powell of Rineyville, Emily Powell of Rineyville; and one great-grandson, Jaxon Will-Cruz of Elizabethtown; one brother, Tommy (Glenda) Tucker of Paducah; three special couples that were her extended-family, Wanda & Gerald Lowery, Sally & Larry Lewis, and Carolyn & WD Jones. Judy also leaves behind many cousins, childhood & college friends, neighbors, and church friends.

Visitation will be at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Tuesday at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY Funeral services for Mrs. Finn will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY with Brother Mark Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY. Judy fought a long and hard battle with Parkinson’s Disease, so expressions of sympathy can be made to Parkinson’s Research Foundation in Judy’s memory.
