Obituary of Julia Ann Christopher Julia Ann Christopher, 84, of Morgantown, WV, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 11, 1934, in Mona (Granville), WV, daughter of the late Anthony “Tony” and Julia Fominko. Julia was a Catholic by faith.

She had earlier worked at Morgantown Health Department in Morgantown, WV. She married James M. Christopher in 1963 and worked as a housewife and mother; having her four sons. She was the sweetest woman, a devout and loving mother and grandmother.

Julia very much enjoyed gardening, canning, and tending to her flowers. Later in life, she enjoyed family activities and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She also loved music and dancing, with Elvis and Buddy Holly as her favorites.

She enjoyed many types of music and often could be seen dancing to Elvis with her sons or to polka music with her mom in the kitchen. She was a caregiver for her father, mother and her family; a big hearted woman, a stroke survivor, and a breast cancer survivor. Julia is survived by husband James, one brother Frank Fominko, a sister-in-law Josephine Gordon, four sons: James “Jimmy” and Dottie Christopher, Jeffrey and former spouse Lisa Christopher, all of Morgantown, WV, Jay Christopher and significant other Phyllis Lipscomb of Reidsville, NC and John and Magda Christopher of Fairfax, VA, five grandchildren, Devon Christopher, Brianna Christopher and Colleen Christopher all of Morgantown, Michael Christopher of Fairfax, VA.

, and Noah Christopher of Wheeling, WV and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Tony(Vena), Alex(Ruby), George and Joseph Fominko. Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street in Morgantown on Tuesday, November 6, from 4 – 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 7, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 p.m. with Rev.

David Spence officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery. A special thanks to the staff and doctors on 10 West and 7 West of Ruby Memorial for their care of Julia.
