Julia Claire Thomason Baker of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away peacefully on December 16, 2018. She was born in Huntsville, Texas on February 25, 1925. Julie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Dr. Harold “Hal” William Baker; her devoted daughter, Peggy Elizabeth Baker; and her precious granddaughter, Rachel Caroline Baker.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Donna Hazle Glanzman (Gary) and her son, William Thomason Baker, MD (Lana). Julie was the grandmother of Hallie Hazle Bray (Darby), Stacey Hazle Grove (Jason), Billi Hazle Dray (Charlie) and Logan Phelps Baker (Karen). She has been blessed with fifteen great grandchildren.

Julie was an amazing, loving and resilient woman with family and friends who were blessed to have her in their lives. She was truly treasured and one of a kind. Julie was admired for her horsemanship, award-winning golf, her beautiful artwork, her bridge play and her loyal companion “Pebbles”.

Julie, a follower of Christ, gives Him thanks for her blessed life and now, He welcomes her in heaven. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Crestwood United Methodist Church, 7214 Kavanaugh Road, Crestwood, Kentucky 40014 from 10AM to Noon followed immediately by a Christian Celebration of Julie’s life. Internment will be at the Floydsburg Cemetery.
