Obituary for Julianne J. “Judy” Fox (Joyce) Julianne J. Fox, 92, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2018. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Born in Simsbury, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Raymond and Catherine Joyce.
She married Francis W. Fox, who predeceased her, on August 25, 1951. She is survived by her five children, Bill (Patti), Kath, Jim (Donna), Dan, and Pete (Lorry). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kerry (Brendon), Alex, Laura (Corey), Mark, Jeff, Cory, and Chelsea, as well as two great grandchildren, Jaxson and Maddox.
A graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Saint Joseph College and University of Hartford Graduate School, she taught in the city of Hartford school system and retired to Weekapaug, RI and finally to Annapolis, MD. Visiting hours are from 4:00- 7:00 pm on Friday, February 23, at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, February 24 at St. Clare’s Church, 62 Crandall Ave.
, Westerly, RI. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will follow at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly.
