June N. Edwards, 8, of Orange Park, formerly of Yalaha passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. Mrs. Edwards was born June 8, 1934 in Annapolis, MD to Gordon and Thelma (Howard) Noble. She retired as a group manager for the IRS and moved to Yalaha in 1997 from South Florida.

She then moved to Orange Park in 2016. She was member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Orange Park, but her heart remained at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg. June enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and being with her family.

Survivors include her children, Jan Fichter-Jones (Don) of San Diego, CA, Jack Fichter of Navarre, FL, Jeanne Fichter Lightcap of Point Vedra, FL, and Jill Fichter of Jacksonville, FL, Jim Edwards of Chicago, IL, and Bill Edwards of Yalaha, FL; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, a brother Larry Noble, cousin, Ralph Brandy and her first husband, John Fichter. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 3, 2019 on July 3, 2019 at 8:30 AM in St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg, with internment in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
