June Townsend Auchmuty Motley, 81, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday December 29, 2018 from complications of dementia. She was born in LaGrange GA on August 26, 1937. June was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates and the chancel Choir.

She was a teacher for 35 years in the city of Atlanta and was loved by everyone who knew her. June was preceded in death by her parents James and Amelia Auchmuty and her first husband Rance Townsend. Services will be held Monday December 31, 2018 at 11:00 am, at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons, Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday December 31, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at A.S. Turner and Sons.
