OBITUARY Junior William Brownfield May 29, 1928 – December 16, 2018 Born May 29, 1928 in Lansing, Michigan to Fred and Margaret (Herner) Brownfield, passed away on December 16, 2018, at the age of 90. Junior was a life-long farmer who owned his own farm. Together with his wife JoAnn they raised two wonderful children.

Junior was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mason. He loved to bowl and parade his antique tractors throughout Michigan with the tractor club. Junior was beloved in the community and his sharp wit will be missed.

He was a diehard Tiger and Lions fan whether they won or lost. He passed away before the Lions won the Super Bowl. Junior also loved Spartan sports, both men and women.

He will be missed by all. Junior was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 65 years, JoAnn Brownfield; brother, Robert; sister, Thelma. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jane Brownfield (Nancy Jungkans), Joyce (Ben) Hiebert; brothers, Kenneth (Dar) Brownfield, Gene (Kathy) Brownfield; and sister, Audrey Fryover-Swanson.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church of Mason, 131 E. Maple St., Mason, MI 48854 with Rev. Bill Pinches officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the church and one hour prior to the service.
