Obituary of Justine Olson Justine L. Olson, 93, of Salina, passed away, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Eaglecrest Retirement Community. Justine was born June 19, 1925 at Turkey Creek Township, near Beloit, KS. She is the daughter of the late William Herbert and Susanna (Bell) Finney.

Justine was a graduate of Manhattan High School, after which she attended Palmer Secretarial School. She married Harold K. Olson on September 9, 1945 at Messiah Lutheran Church in LIndsborg. Justine was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Lindsborg.

She was a past member of the church council, and regularly attended various church groups and bible studies. Justine was also a key member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA) at Messiah Lutheran. Justine enjoyed belonging to the Lindsborg Community Hospital Auxiliary and spending time with her friends in the Retired Bethany College Secretarial Staff, at get togethers.

She is survived by her daughter: Janice Dyer of Salina, KS; son: Warren W. (Lynnda) Olson of Lindsborg; daughter-in-law, Jill Olson of Bennington, KS; as well as 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and 1 step great great grandchild. Justine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son, Mike Olson; and her siblings, Minette Harrouff, Helen Finney, Anabelle Jacobson, Claire Crumbaker, William Finney, Jr., Esther Kethcart, Boyd Finney, Margaret Walker, and Dwain Finney. Family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 22 at Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 401 N. 1st St., Lindsborg, KS with Pastor Amy Truhe officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery prior to the service. Memorials contributions may be made to Bethany College or Messiah Lutheran Church.
