WORCESTER – Karen F. (DeNitti) Brammer, 57, of Worcester, died peacefully in her lovely home while in the presence of her husband and son on Friday, November 9, 2018 after a long and valiant fight with Breast Cancer. She was born in Worcester, MA on November 11, 1960, daughter of Rudolph and Rita (Kowalcky) DeNitti. Karen was a department secretary at Worcester State University for over 10 years.

She was predeceased by her father, Rudolph DeNitti, her uncle Richard Kowalcky and her grandmother Helen Kowalcky, as well as her father and mother-in-law Earl and Mary Brammer and a brother-in-law Benny Brammer. Karen leaves her husband and devoted soulmate of 30 years, Jody Brammer, and her beloved son Matthew B. Crowley and his wife Lori Crowley from Washington State. She also leaves behind her two caring sisters, Patricia Kelly and Annemarie DesRosiers and a loving brother, John DeNitti, and their respective spouses and families, all from MA.

In addition to her siblings, she leaves her Uncle Frannie and her Uncle Jackie, 5 compassionate sisters-in- law, Connie, Regina, Katy, Marty and Elizabeth and a brother-in-law, Richard Brammer, along with their families and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, Karen leaves behind her two best friends, Susan Gilligan and her husband David of Auburn, MA , as well as Marrette Trotter, a longtime friend and pen pal from Victoria, Australia, and her family to whom they have shared handwritten letters and visits for close to 50 years. Karen was the epitome of strength, as well as a loving and caring, wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend who always enjoyed being in the company of others and making others feel special and treasured.

She was truly the embodiment of grace and unselfishness and had a genuine gift for uplifting others with her handwritten notes and optimistic outlook on life. She was an everlasting cheerleader, a partner and someone you could always rely on. She never failed to light up the room with her smile and beauty and her ability to connect with people so uniquely and wonderfully.

She truly taught all of those around her to appreciate this gift of life, and love every second we have here with the ones we love. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Karen’s family on Wednesday, November 14,, 2018 at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester. Calling hours will be held from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the funeral home with a service to immediately follow.

For those who knew her well, her favorite color was bright green. We’d like to honor her by wearing something with that color during her service. A private inurnment will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karen’s memory can be made to Saint Vincent’s Cancer and Wellness Center at 1 Eaton Pl, Worcester, MA, 01608, the Michael J.
