Karen J. Parson, 59, Green Bay, found peace after suffering heart failure on January, 25, 2019. Karen was born in Green Bay on May 19, 1959 to the late Eldor and Jeanette (Sazama) Buenning. After graduating from GB East, Karen worked for many years in a variety of jobs including as a computer and a network technician at Benson Optical and Wells Fargo Bank.

Karen was such a people person that it’s not surprising that her favorite job was managing the gift shop at a casino in northern Wisconsin. In 1989 Karen married her best friend, Allen Parson. She is survived by sisters Kandice Buenning, Mary Buenning, Katherine Gauthier, and Patricia Trinkner (Ron) and brothers Al (Carol) Jack, and Greg Buenning and many nieces and nephews.

Karen had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She had a heart of gold and we know she’s romping around in heaven with all of her beloved puppies. As her ex husband Al said, “ Karen loved dogs, loved to sing, loved to party…Karen loved”.

Private services will be held at a later date. A big thank you to Dr. William Benn and the many other doctors and caregivers who helped Karen throughout the last few years. A special thank you to our sister Pat who was always there for Karen.
