Karen Rose, 80, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018. She was born November 21, 1937 in Dayton, OH. She grew up in Atlantic Beach.

She was the daughter of John and Margaret Kissling. Karen was known for her devotion to her family and friends, warmth, generosity, kindness, and sense of humor. She was also a very devout Catholic.

Karen is survived by her loving daughters, Maggie Holloway-Kundert (Rick) and Julie Sandifer (Tom) and her only grandson, Zachary, who was a huge part of her life. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Janet Loftin and Nancy Estes; her brother Michael Kissling; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother John Kissling; and her sister Carole Chadwick.

Also, left to cherish her memory, are her two dearest friends of over 40 years Nancy Stewart and Cheryl Havener. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5th in Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Tim Cusick as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Rd.
