Karen Yvonne Taylor, 59, of Alton and formerly of Bethalto, Illinois passed away at 2:53 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her home. She was born January 21, 1960 in Madison County, Illinois. She had worked many years serving others as a nurse with Hospice and various nursing homes.

She loved gardening and cherished her cats. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory “Mark” and Andrea Taylor Jr. of Alton and Tony Nathaniel and Sarah Taylor of Minneapolis, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Austin Gould, Alissa Trotter, Bailee Cheeseborough, Jadon Taylor and Gracie Taylor; two great grandchildren, Brielle and Laiken; a sister, Brenda Lundblad of Rush City, Minnesota; a brother, Neil Osagam of Alton and special friends, Tammy, Chuck, Lacy, J.J., Georgette, Judi, Tiffany and Chance. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Frances Priscilla Lane.

In honor of her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial luncheon will be held at Roma’s Pizza in Bethalto on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family and may be accepted at www. gofundme.com/karen039s-emergency-end-of-life-fund.
