Karin Marie Chadwick , November 15, 1955 — September 08, 2018

Karin Marie Chadwick was born on November 15, 1955 on March Air Force Base in Riverside, California to John M. Murphy and LaVonne K. (Jochum) Murphy. Karin passed away following a massive heart attack on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Nampa, Idaho. Karin attended UC Davis in California and Idaho State University in the Nursing program.

Karin married Bob Chardwick on February 21, 1981 in Pocatello at St. Anthony’s Church.

Together they had two children, James and Kristin. Bob died April 12, 2010. Karin was the best mother ever and was very protective of her children.

Together Karin and Bob never missed sporting events or any other events the children were involved in. Karin had many hobbies including camping, snow skiing, running, reading and playing the guitar. She shared her talent with music as a music director at St. Joseph’s Church and played during weekly mass.

Karin was diagnosed with MS in 1997 but remained as active as she could. Karin was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her father, John; a sister Jeri Burns; parents-in-law, Dale and Dorothy Chadwick. Karin is survived by her children, James “Jim” Chadwick of Pocatello and Kristin Chadwick of Caldwell, Idaho; mother, LaVonne Boyd of Lincoln, California as well as siblings, Tim Murphy of California, Steve Murphy of Texas, Mike Murphy of California and Kevin Murphy of California.

The funeral mass will be celebrated 2:00 PM on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Community, St. Anthony’s Chapel, 504 North 7th Ave, Pocatello, Idaho. Inurnment will follow at Mt View Cemetery in the family plot.
