West Springfield – Our beloved Karl, 31 passed away Thursday, July 26th at Noble hospital after a brief illness. Karl was born July 7, 1987 in Manhattan, NY to Jose Melendez and Hipolita Campos. Karl grew up in Northampton and later moved to West Springfield with his wife and daughters.

He was a graduate from Northampton High School and later attended Porter and Chester Institute. He worked for J&R Ice in Westfield as a lead operator. Karl was a family man, loved his daughters the most.

His smile would light up the room and his laugh was contagious. He always put everyone first. He enjoyed listening to music and making beats.

He was an avid Yankees fan. Karl is survived by not only his mother and father, he is survived by his love of his life of 12 years, Wilneris Figueroa and their beautiful daughters Kaylee, Maybelline and Riley. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Kimberly and Tiffany: his brother Max: his in laws: Jose, Luisa, Wilmer, Wilmaris, and Wirtza and her husband Yamil.

He was the cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Calling hours for Karl will be Thursday, August 2nd from 10:00AM-12:00PM at WESTFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield. A Funeral Home Service will follow the calling hours at 12:00PM.
