OBITUARY Mrs. Katharine K Grossman October 9, 1930 – November 29, 2018 Katharine Kean Grossman, 88, joined her husband, Harold W. Grossman, in heaven on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Born on October 9, 1930, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Katharine Kennedy and Lt Gen William B. Kean. Katharine married Harold W. Grossman in 1951, with a military wedding at Camp Roberts in California.

Katharine enjoyed traveling around the United States and other countries like Germany, with her husband during his active military service. They resided in Winter Park, FL, for 50 years, where Katharine became a member of the Junior Service League. She also enjoyed playing tennis and was a member of The Racket Club.

After moving to Greenville, South Carolina in 2006, Katharine and her husband became members of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Greer. Katharine was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves behind two children, Kathy Bishop of Greer and James Grossman of Greer; three grandsons and two great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on December 5, 2018, at 11:00 AM at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd on 200 Cannon Street, Greer, SC 29651. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, on 2410 Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens, SC 29671. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Restoration Fund.
