Obituary for Katherine Cherry Lundy Katherine Cherry Lundy, age 89, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Born May 25, 1928 in Conway, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Myra Burroughs Cherry. Mrs. Lundy was a 1945 graduate of Conway High School and a 1949 graduate of Winthrop University.

She taught at Homewood Elementary School for more than 30 years. She also volunteered at Homewood Elementary for 25 years and Conway Medical Center for over 23 years, earning over 4800 hours. Mrs. Lundy was an active member of Kingston Presbyterian Church since the age of 9.

She served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, Elder Emeritus, and was a member of the Women’s Circle. Along with her parents, Mrs. Lundy was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Lundy. Surviving are her four daughters, Suzanne Lundy Collins of Cartersville, GA, Jo Lundy Webb (Jimmy) of Clinton, SC, Jane Lundy Martin of Aynor, SC, and June Lundy Childers (Dennis) of Jackson, OH; ten grandchildren, Lloyd Collins ( Julie), Joseph Collins, Andrew Webb (Mindy), Heather Webb, Clay Webb, Bryan Squires (Jenna), Katherine Hutson (Nathan), Elizabeth Arthur (Matthew), Sarah Peck (Joe), and Rebecca Childers; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Kingston Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rhett Talbert officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Don Steins Scholarship Fund, c/o Kingston Presbyterian Church, 800 3rd Avenue, Conway, SC 29526. Please sign an online guestbook at www.
