Visitation will be Saturday May 4, 2019 from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home.

Rev. Larry Russell will officiate and burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery. Katherine was born on July 27, 1923 in Harahan, LA.

She is the daughter of the late, Henry Clay Freeman and Ruby Dickerson Freeman. Katherine was a homemaker as well as a caretaker for the elderly. She was a member of Montgomery Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and baking for others.

Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great- grandmother who will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Troy Brown; four brothers, James Floyd Freeman, Claude L. Freeman, Henry Earl Freeman, and Raymond “Ray” Freeman; three sisters, Edith Inez Freeman Wallace, Freda Nell Freeman, and Virginia Nell Freeman. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Roberts (Lamar) of McComb; one sister, Bobbie Freeman Alexander (Arthur) of Metairie, LA; one sister-in-law, Evelyn M. Freeman of Byram; a granddaughter, Patty Roberts Whitehead (Randall) of Denham Springs, LA; one grandson, Eddie Roberts of Summit, MS; two great-grandsons, Cory Roberts (Rachel) and Nicholas Roberts; one great-granddaughter, Karly Schexnayder (Landon); and two great-great-grandsons, Tripp Roberts and Lane Schexnayder and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Roberts, Cory Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Gary Freeman, Jeffery Freeman, Keith Freeman and Gerald Wallace. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jim Freeman. The family wishes to thank the staff of McComb Nursing and Rehab and St. Luke Home Health &Hospice for their help and understanding during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Katherine Brown’s name may be made to Montgomery Baptist Church.
