Katheryn’s Obituary Katheryn Ann Mall, 88 passed away on February 28, 2019. She was born October 15, 1930, at Junction City, Kansas, the daughter of James Robert Chilcoat and Rosa Belle Ford Chilcoat. She married Jack Dana Mall, of Clay Center on May 29, 1958.

He preceded her in death on July 22, 1997. She was a bookkeeper and worked for J.C. Penney’s for 30 years. She was the store manager there until it was closed.

She was Treasure of the Clay Center Elks Club and the Clay Center Public Golf Course for several years. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She served as a volunteer for USDA Commodities and the Rural Food Pantry Distribution.

Survivors include one son, Robert and wife Vicky of Clay Center, one grandson, Kyle and wife Patricia, two great grandchildren, Jake (Chelsea) and Chelcie, and two great great grandchildren, Owen and Peyton. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Chilcoat and Ronald Lee Chilcoat, one sister Norma Jean Scott, and one grandson Kelly Lloyd Mall. Respect calls will be held March 8, 2019 from 12:30-1:30 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas.

A Graveside service will be held March 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM, at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center. A light lunch will be served at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 6th and Clarke St., Clay Center, following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 6th and Clarke, Clay Center, Kansas.
