Kathleen “Kathy” Kearney, 74 passed peacefully on January, 24, 2019 after a short illness surrounded by love and encouragement from her best friend and adopted family. Kathy left this world with dignity and grace. She was born on May 20, 1944 in Manhattan, NY a daughter of the late James E. and Wilhelmina (Long) Kearney.

Kathy resided in Copake, NY amongst many good neighbors and friends. Her quick wit and fast come backs were a small part of her special personality. She was an officer for the New York State Department of Corrections for over 30 years.

Kathy leaves behind family and friends that will miss her greatly. Private interment services were held on Monday January 28, 2019 at St. Bridget’s Cemetery in Copake Falls. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
