Kathleen Mae Weossner, age 97 of Elbow Lake passed away peacefully Saturday May 11, 2019, at the Meadows of Wadena. Kathleen was born on February 26, 1922, to Oscar and Nancy (Pederson) Olson on a farm near Dent, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

She graduated from Elbow Lake High School in 1941, after she worked at her aunt Clara’s Union Store in Fergus Falls, MN. She was married to Clarence Edward Weossner on February 28, 1942, in Fargo, N.D. To this union three children were born, Anita Mae, Jack Edward and Camille Lynn. Clarence passed away on June 12, 2002.

Kathleen was a member of the United Lutheran Church where she enjoyed church circles, Bible Study, and cutting quilt blocks for Dorcas Society. She also was a Girl Scout Leader and belonged to the V.F.W. Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Kathleen enjoyed the monthly Pomme de Terre Homemakers.

Preceding Kathleen in death are her husband, Clarence of 60 years; her parents, Oscar and Nancy Olson; her sisters, Dorothy (Vernon) Johnson and Betty (Vernon) Brekke; her 5 brothers, Roland (Lavon), Kenneth, Corrin (Myrtle), Robert and Bert Olson; her in-laws Emil A. and Katie A. (Schwark) Weossner, brothers-in-law, Rudy and Harold (Donna) Weossner. She is lovingly survived by her children, Anita Mae (Richard) LeBrun of Malmo, Jack Edward (Carol) Weossner of Carlos, and Camille Lynn (Mark) Stone of Wadena; 4 grandchildren, Tonya (Dean) Larsen, Kristen (Brian) Manthey, Kayla (Jay) Olson, Matthew (Nicole) Stone; 8 great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Richard, and Ella Larsen, Briana and Katelyn Manthey, and Cayson, Kyra and Mikiah Olson; sisters, Joan Anderson of Fargo and Val Jean (Bill) Michalwicz of Huntington Beach, CA. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and old and new friends she met along her path of life, always ready to hold their hand and visit awhile.
