Obituary for Kathryn “Cassie” (Engemann) Trout Of Baldwin Borough, passed away on Sunday, December 23 after a prolonged illness. Cassie is survived by her husband, Charles “Bill” and sons, Bill and Tim (Danielle); daughter of the late Burnadette and Henry Engemann; sister of the late Charles Engemann and Marie Shumovich. She is also survived by two grandsons, Edward and Michael, several nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Cassie was born and raised in Lincoln Place and worked at Bettis Atomic Laboratory as a telephone operator early in her career. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, scrabble, and working crossword puzzles. She will be missed beyond words.

Friends received Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 5636 Brownsville Road, (at 6th St.) South Park Twp. (412) 655-4600.

Funeral prayer Friday 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Church at 12 p.m. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations made in her memory go to the St. Jude Children’s Foundation, Salvation Army, or a favorite charity…. .
