Mrs. Kathryn Louise Mann Smothers of Taylor County passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born on September 19, 1933 to the late Henry Gilbert and Ethel Levice Minor, she was 85 years, 5 months, and 4 days of age. Mrs. Smothers had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church.

She was a woman of love and compassion, and she enjoyed providing a warm and comfortable home to her family. Mrs. Smothers retired from Mannsville School and Taylor County Hospital, where she had been employed as a cafeteria worker. She was married to Henry Mann, who preceded her in death.

Later, she was married to Billy Smothers, who survives. Besides her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory: One daughter: Elaine Mann of Elizabethtown, A stepdaughter: Tammy Moore and husband Jim of Cecilia, Three grandchildren: Kathy Begley and husband Roger of Campbellsville, and Kevin Mann and wife Jamie, and Kalvin Mann and fiance Emily Cundiff, both of Mannsville, Four great-grandchildren: Dustin Begley, Daniel Begley, Kaylee Mann, and Kyndra Mann, Four great-great grandchildren: Clayton Begley, Blakelynn Begley, Barron Begley, and Allessa Cundiff, And a host of other family and close friends. She was also preceded in death by two sons: Danny Mann and Darrell Mann; four siblings: Hanley Minor, Rodford Minor, Nell Minor, and Thelma Minor; and a great-granddaughter: Kaitlyn Mann.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Smothers on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Richard Lowe and Bro.

John Hall will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mann Cemetery, Taylor County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb 26, from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral.
