Kathryn Lu Egg May 22, 1951 – December 31, 2018 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kathryn Lu Layden Egg Kathryn Lu Layden Egg, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018, at the age of 67. She was born in Houston, Texas on May 22, 1951, to the late Peter John Layden and Ruth Delores Lee Layden. Lu was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed dearly.

Lu is survived by her children, Shawn and Jayme Egg and their father David Egg; sister, Kim Pelham; grandchildren, Savannah Egg, Leta Egg, Layden Blackwell, and Maggie Rabalais; along with nieces and nephews. Lu is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lee Ulbricht. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the Memorial Service to begin at 11 a.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Harrison Stafford will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, or Online at www. stjude.org.
