Kay Sharon (King) Hollingsworth, 79, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Bethany, Oklahoma. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Bethany. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Online condolences may be made at www. wadleysfuneralservice.com. Kay was born July 17, 1939 to Val C. and Ruth (Wortham) King in Oklahoma City.

Upon graduating from Central High School, she began her 51 year career at the Oklahoma State Health Department on September 2, 1957. Kay worked in many capacities during her tenure, with the last 23 years being in the EMS Division. She became an EMT at age 60, at which time she was promoted to the position of EMS Training Coordinator and Licensing Manager for the State of Oklahoma, retiring on January 1, 2009.

Kay was a long time member of the Exchange Ave. Baptist Church, where she worked with children, sang in the choir, rang in the bell choir, and served in the Church Kitchen. She became a member of the First Baptist Church of Bethany in 2017, where she was involved in the Clothing Room Ministry, and Nursing Home Ministry.

Kay is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth; brother, Carl V. Jr.; and aunts, Betty, Margaret and JoAnne. She leaves behind her sister, Linda McCurley of Oklahoma City; and many other relatives and friends she loved very much. In lieu of flowers, memorials by be given to the First Baptist Church Clothing Room Ministry in her honor.
