Kenneth Elbert Benton April 17, 1929 – February 25, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kenneth Elbert Benton, 89, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at his home in Borger, Texas. Kenneth was born on April 17, 1929 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Lewis Clay and Emma Faye (Davis) Benton. After completing high school, he served in the United States Army for 4 years.

Kenneth completed a Master degree level of education and was a mechanical engineer for Phillips 66 until retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife Lodema Benton. Survivors include: son, Kenneth Benton, Jr and wife Tonya of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; daughter, Stephanie Rankin and husband Dave of Yukon, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Chase Rankin and wife Alicia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Logan Rankin of Yukon, Oklahoma, Brittnee Tomlin and husband Ryan of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tarell Benton of Los Angeles, California and Tori Lantz and husband Joe of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one great grandchild Charles Tomlin.

Kenneth Benton will lie in state at Brown Funeral Chapel, Borger, Texas on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 8 AM- 8PM. The family will receive friends from 6PM-8PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 01, 2019, at 10:00 AM, at Riverview Baptist Church in Borger, Texas.

Burial to follow immediately at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas.
